Manufacture of E'Grid Products

BOSTD Geosynthetics Qingdao Ltd.

A joint stock company founded in October 2000.  The primary shareholder is Beijing Orient Science & Technology Development Co., Ltd.,  a company with more than 15 years of experience in the fields of plastice nets, meshes and geogrids and the import/export of technical products.

The company is located in Qingdao City in the Province of Shandong and the factory stands on a 10 hectare plot.  Staffing is nearing 100 employees, 60% of whom are from higher colleges with 5 postgraduates and 10 Senior Grade engineers.  With an initial investment of USD12 million the first fully integrated production line for the manufacture of Uni-Axial and Bi-Axial geogrids wasinstalled and commissioned by August 2002.  At the same time a world –class Research and Development laboratory was built to provide the essential technical back up required for the supply of high quality and high performance geogrids for both home and export markets.  A second production line for dedicated production of Uni-Axial geogrids was commissioned in August 2003

The Factory achieved the status of National Model New Technology Project and has a capacity of around 20  million square meters of geogrids per year. 

E’GRID Geogrids,  are advanced geosynthetic materials with a competitive range of engineering properties including strength, modulus, corrosion resistance, weathering resistance and creep performance.  E’GRID geogrids are mainly applied to the reinforcement of walls, slopes and embankments, road and railway sub-bases, and other geo-technical engineering projects.

The company has a close relationship with international civil engineering specialists and its own team of experienced geogrids research and development engineers.  Support is given to international customers through a network of well experienced regional distributors.
